I usually go with acrylics and sharpies. For a couple of my customs I've used fake eyes though. That was fun. I like using matte finish better than satin or gloss. Makes it look more vinyl-y to me. Hey it's a word now, if Rachel Ray can get "yummo" into the dictionary......gaahd.

I use acrylic paint and spray it with clear gloss paint afterwards.

I use a combination of marker, acrylics and pencil. Nearly all of my work is freehand.

Same here, but I exacto the tape off, cuts a razor sharp line of perfection.
